Missouri Coalition for Road Safety partners with racetracks in 2010
Monday, February 01, 2010
The Missouri Coalition for Road Safety partnered with 21 racetrack venues across the state during the 2010 racing season. Venues included dirt track and dragstrips across the state, predominantly in rural counties where reaching the target 18-35 male demographic has been difficult. Each facility provided season long exposure through signage and nightly public address announcements for each event. Season schedule posters were also provided by each track, and included the You Drink & Drive, You Lose message at the bottom. These posters were distributed throughout the communities, placed in high traffic areas such as restaurants, bars, and local businesses. Each track also featured a night where the You've Been Ticketed campaign was held. Local Law Enforcement Officials were on hand to check seatbelt usage as fans entered the parking area. Fans caught wearing their seatbelts were "Ticketed", redeemable for a souvenir T-Shirt that also featured the You Drink & Drive, You Lose message on the back. |
