TiVo's involvement with Alliance Sport Marketing coincided with the release of their new family-friendly TiVo KidZone service, which provides families with a means to protect their children from viewing questionable television shows, both live and recorded.

Since there is no better place to find the American family than at a minor league baseball game, TiVo and Alliance Sport Marketing worked together to promote the release of TiVo KidZone through a Father's Day promotion in 29 minor league baseball markets across the country. Fans were treated with a great offer from TiVo, fun TiVo promotional items like plush toys for the kids, and a Father's Day message from future Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn.

Lucky fans in each market also went home with a free TiVo box with a full year of service by winning some fun in-game competitions like a TiVo Dad's Dance Off with the team mascot, a TiVo Endurance competition where 4 dads held TiVo boxes over their heads in a competition where the last man standing wins, and a write-in contest were kids could win a TiVo for their dad by writing down why their dad is the best.

The promotion provided TiVo with prominent exposure for TiVo Kidzone through vouchers handed out to each fan entering the ballpark, scoreboard recognition, public address announcements, and an in-game promotion coupled with tossing promotional items into the crowd.

Based on the successes of the Father's Day Promotion, TiVo has continued working with Alliance Sport Marketing to connect with the fans of baseball.
